Arching Kaos Radio from it’s beginning as a web-based radio station had the urge to go fully decentralized. Among the years of its development, the service had a distributed back-end that could be synchronized on a server on the internet on its local filesystem in order to provide a stream from the mixtapes people where contributing to.
Version 2.0 of the AKR project was to maintain, append and store a database without the need of a server. The pieces of information needed should be found without special tools from the listener, just a web browser should be enough.
